Wong Sing Simon
Simon is a barrister-at-law and has a broad civil and commercial practice, with emphasis in contractual and commercial disputes, contentious probate disputes, tort law and chancery law. He has handled cases in which the amounts involved range from millions to billions of dollars. His clients include listed companies, pharmaceutical companies, construction companies, educational institutions and trade organizations. He has also litigated and advised in more than 200 medical negligence and personal injuries cases, acting for accident victims, employers, principal contractors, premises occupiers and insurance companies.
Simon accepts appointment as an arbitrator and practises as an advocate in arbitrations. He is a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Arbitrators and has experience in insurance and construction related arbitrations. He has also advised on the enforcement of an international arbitral award in Hong Kong and setting aside/appealing against a domestic arbitral award.
Simon is also an accredited mediator. The cases he has mediated range from complex commercial claims to disputes among family members. He frequently represented clients as a mediation advocate and advised on a wide range of mediation related issues including preparation for mediation and negotiation strategies.
